Define the interior package

Metal stud partitions, plasterboard fixing, insulation, fire-rated boarding and MF ceilings can be scoped as individual work packages or coordinated interiors. Send partition types, board schedules, ceiling layouts and quantities so the labour requirement reflects the specified systems.

Plan plot releases and floor handovers

For new-build housing, apartments and commercial interiors, identify which plots or floors are ready, planned release dates and the expected handover standard. We can consider a drylining gang or a larger team, subject to workload and labour availability. Phased releases help avoid adding operatives before there is usable work.

Fire-rated boarding and inspection points

The specified build-up, fixings and junction details need to be available before boarding starts. Agree inspection and photographic hold points before closing up, including interfaces with services installed by others. Changes to the specified system should be resolved with the responsible designer.

Information for a drylining price

Include drawings, measured quantities, wall heights, board layers, access arrangements, material distribution responsibilities and programme. State whether materials, waste removal, plant and access equipment are provided by the contractor. Labour-only, daywork and priced work can be discussed against an agreed scope.
