A subcontractor for a meaningful section of work

Sequenced Contracting works around defined construction packages for main contractors, developers and specialist subcontractors. The scope may cover one trade or several related trades, with agreed boundaries, interfaces and handovers. The wider project remains under the appointed project team’s management.

Choose the commercial arrangement

Individual trade gangs, larger labour teams, labour-only work, daywork, price work and subcontract packages can be considered. Multi-trade work needs an itemised scope so responsibilities are clear. Short-term cover and programme recovery labour are assessed alongside longer-term site packages.

Make the package review useful

Send the latest drawings and revisions, specification, quantities, programme and access arrangements. Identify employer-supplied materials and plant, supervision interfaces, inspection requirements and any contractor onboarding documentation. Proposed terms, measurement, variations and payment arrangements should be agreed before work starts.

Scale around actual work fronts

Capacity is planned around project size, workload, plot releases, floor handovers, contractor requirements and available labour. A larger team only helps where there is enough ready work, access and material supply. We review those dependencies with the contractor before confirming mobilisation.
